Monday 9 February 2015

Independent National Election Commission (INEC) Chairman, Attahiru Jega announced late this evening that the 2015 general elections would be postponed, this after an intense day-long meeting between INEC and leaders in political parties.
Chairman Jega explained that even though INEC was prepared to run the elections later this month, “there are other variables” at play when ensuring that Nigeria’s elections are free and fair.
One of the greatest concerns for February’s election was the question of insecurity, particularly in the northeast. Chairman Jega has been under intense pressure from the government and security services to postpone the election dates. Sahara Reporters has previously reported that President Jonathan’s National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki confronted Chairman Jega before the Council of State meeting on February 5th.
Chairman Jega announced that the new date for the presidential and national elections will be March 28th, and the state and local races will be two week after on April 11th.

we all pray for the peaceful election.

ALL WE NEED IS PEACE AND HARMONY IN THE COUNTRY.
The
great women of Nigeria are gladly waiting to create a huge welcome space to our incumbent continuity.
